<note>This research wants to try to find out language learning strategies on
students' reading comprehension. This research was conducted in the first
semester of then grade of SMAN 3 KabupatenTangerang in academic year
2019/1020. The independent variable in this research is the language learning
strategy that is metacognitive strategy and the dependent variable examined in
this study is reading comprehension. This research is experimental. the total
population is 11 classes. Of the population, two classes will be used as samples.
They are divided into two groups namely metacognitive strategy groups and
conventional instruction. In this study, the score of students' reading
comprehension was obtained by managing the reading comprehension test. The
data was analyzed using SPSS 21. The results of the analysis showed that: (1)
There is an influence of the use of metacognitive strategies on students' reading
comprehension in the experimental class. (2) There is no difference in the
control class in using metacognitive strategy. (3) The interaction between
metacognitive strategies and reading comprehension. Based on the results of the
study, it can be concluded that metacognitive strategies are better but there is no
difference in the control class on reading comprehension.</note>
