<note>The aim of this research is to find out whether there is a significant effect
of using the story map method to improve students' reading skills in narrative
text learning material in the eleventh-grade science class at Madrasah Aliyah
Attaqwa Tangerang in the 2023/2024 academic year. The population of this
study was students of class XI IPA Madrasah Aliyah Attaqwa Tangerang, the
academic year 2023/2024. The number of students in class XI Science was
30 students, Researcher used Quasi-Experimental Design. To collect data, the
Researcher used pre-tests and post-tests. Based on the research results, it is
known that the data is normally distributed and homogeneous. Hypothesis
testing uses paired sample tests. This shows Ho is rejected and Ha is
accepted. In other words, there is a significant effect of the use of the story
map method in improving students' reading skills in learning narrative texts
in grade eleven science at Madrasah Aliyah Attaqwa Tangerang. Therefore, it
can be concluded that there is a positive effect of using the story map method
on the reading skills of eleventh-grade science students at Madrasah Aliyah
Attaqwa Tangerang.</note>
