<note>Lexical cohesion is created by repeating the same lexeme or general nouns, the
researcher wishes to restrict the problem by analyzing cohesion in
undergraduated thesis in terms of lexical cohesion, which includes synonyms,
repetition, superordinate, generic words, and collocation. As a result, the
researcher narrowed and concentrated on examining lexical cohesion in Mini
Thesis written by two students of Universitas Islam Syeikh-Yusuf Tangerang
Year Of Academic 2021/2022.This study research design is qualitative since
the findings element and function of lexical cohesion in undergraduated thesis
writing. After reading and examining Thesis as data sources, 42 data were
found showing the use of lexical cohesion in them. Of the 42 existing data, six
types of lexical cohesion were found as defined by Halliday & Hasan (1976)
with the following details From the table, it can be seen that the most common
type found and used in both Thesis is repetition with a total of 30 frequency of
data (82,31%), followed by synonymy with 15 frequency of data (4,19%),
followed by antonymy with 18 frequency of data (6,42%), followed by
collocation with 5 frequency of data (8,58%), and none of the data belongs to
general words</note>
