The objective of this study was to find out whether there is a significant correlation between students‟ vocabulary mastery and their writing skill in recount text at eleventh grade of SMAN 14 Kabupaten Tangerang in academic year 2020/2021. The method of the research used descriptive quantitative research method and for the design of the research is correlational study research. The population in this study was all eleventh grade students at SMAN 14 Kabupaten Tangerang, as many as 274 students. The samples used in this study were only 64 students from 2 classes, namely class XI Bahasa 1 and 2. In collecting data, the researcher used instruments in the form of multiple choice questions for vocabulary mastery tests and writing recount text in writing skills. In this study, SPSS was used to calculate data. The results showed that there was a significant correlation between students' vocabulary mastery and their writing skill in recount text in eleventh grade at SMAN 14 Kabupaten Tangerang in academic year 2020/2021.
