Putri Larasati, NIM: 1605020024, “The Effect of Cartoon Films as a Media to Improve Students’ Speaking Skill at Eleventh Grade of SMAN 13 Kabupaten Tangerang in Academic Year 2020/202” Mini Thesis, Tangerang. English Language Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Islam Syekh-Yusuf Tangerang, 2020. This research was conducted at SMAN 13 Kabupaten Tangerang. The aim of this research was to find out whether there is a significant effect of cartoon film as a media to improve students’ speaking skill. The population of this research was the eleventh grade of SMAN 13 Kabupaten Tangerang. The samples are from 30 students of XI MIPA 3. This research used quasi-experimental design. The data was collected through pre-test and post-test. The result was statistical calculation by SPSS 22 by using One-Sample Shapiro-Wilk test. The asymptotic significance of the pre-test and post-test is 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, it is concluded that Ha is accepted which means there is a significant effect of using cartoon film as a media to improve students’ speaking skill at the eleventh grade of SMAN 13 Kabupaten Tangerang in academic year 2020/2021 Keywords: cartoon film, speaking skill, teaching media
