The objective of this research was to know whether there is a significant
effect of Instagram technique on the students‟ writing skills at the Tenth
Grade of SMAN 20 Kabupaten Tangerang in Academic Year 2020/2021. The
population of this research was the tenth-grade students‟ of SMAN 20
Kabupaten Tangerang. The samples are 70 students of 10 MIPA 1 and 10
MIPA 4. This research used Quasi-Experimental. The research data is
collected through pre-test and post-test. The result of this research was a
statistical calculation by Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, it is known the
significances of the pre-test and post-test in experimental class data is 0.001 <
0.005. It is concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. It means there is
a significant difference in using Instagram on writing skills. Therefore, it can
be concluded that there is a positive effect of Instagram improve students‟
writing of writing skills at the tenth grade of SMAN 20 Kabupaten Tangerang
in the academic year 2020/2021.
