The Correlation Between Simple Present Tense Mastery and Students’ Writing Skill in Analytical Exposition Text at The Eleventh Grade of SMKN 2 Kota Tangerang in Academic Year 2020/2021. Key Words: Skill, Mastery, Simple Present Tense, Writing Analytical Exposition Text. The research was conducted in SMKN 2 Kota Tangerang. There are two variables for the research, Simple Present Tense Mastery as independent (X) and Students‘ Writing Skill in Analytical Exposition Text as dependent (Y). Method of the research can be classified as descriptive method of correlation. While the technique of collecting data is by giving multiple choices of simple present tense and writing test at SMKN 2 Kota Tangerang. The researcher took 58 samples. From the result of the research, the research got score of simple present tense mastery with the range 100 – 7 with mean 71, 8. Meanwhile, the ranges of score students‘ writing skill in analytical exposition text score is 94 – 34 with mean 72, 8. After getting the data, the research analyzed the data using statistically value with significance level 0, 005 (5%). And final value of statistically calculation described the result of the 0, 363. It mean, there is a significant correlation between simple present tense mastery and students‘ writing skill in analytical exposition text.
