<note>Dea Iqlima, NIM: 1605020052, “The Effect of Word Square Method to Improve 
Students’  Vocabulary  Mastery  at  The  Third  Grade  of  SDS  Penerus  Bangsa  in 
Academic Year 2020/2020.” Mini Thesis, English Language Education, Faculty  of 
Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Islam Syekh-Yusuf Tangerang. This 
research was conducted at SDS Penerus Bangsa. The aim of this research is to  find 
out  there  whether  an  Effect  of  Word  Square  Method  to  Improve  Students’ 
Vocabulary Mastery. The population of this research was the third-grade of SDS 
Penerus  Bangsa.  The  sample  are  23  students  of  III  A.  This  research  used 
Experimental Class. The research data is collected through pre-test and post-test. 
The result of his research was statistical calculation by One-Sample KolmogorovSmirnov test, it is known asymptotic significances of the pre-test and post-test  in 
experimental class data is 0.000 < 0.05. It can be concluded that Ha is accepted  and 
Ho  is  rejected.  It  means  there  is  a  significant  difference  word  square  method  to 
improve students’ vocabulary mastery. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is 
positive effect Word Square to Improve Students’ Vocabulary Mastery at the third 
grade of SDS Penerrus Bangsa in academic year 2020/2021.
