Globalization  which  is  increasing  in  modern  times  has  encouraged 
people to become fluent in foreign languages, so that life can be carried out, 
one  of  which  is  English.  This  study  aims  to  determine  whether  there  is  a 
significant effect on students' listening skills with English learning strategies 
using  the  Video  Visual  method.  This  research  was  conducted  at  SMA 
Negeri 14 Kota Tangerang. This study uses quantitative methods, the sample 
was  taken  30  non-rendom  students  using  the  type  of  quasi-experimental 
research type One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design. The student test is used 
by the author to collect data. Hypothesis testing using Wilcoxon, is known 
to  be  significant  after  being  tested  with  Wilcoxon.  The  findings  indicat ed 
that students obtained a significantly higher mean score (100) for listening 
skills. The Wilcoxon test results showed that the students' listening  ability 
during the pre-test and post-test was significantly different. Thus, it can be 
concluded that students who were taught using Video Visual obtained better 
results in listening skills before being given treatment.
