This study aims to determine the system for implementing child marriage in terms of Law No. 1 year 1974 Jo. Law No. 16 of 2019, and its legal consequences. This study uses a grand theory, namely Law No. 1 year 1974 Jo. Law No. 16 of 2019 as the basis for marriage law, as well as the middle theory, namely Friedman's theory regarding the legal system so that it can run properly. From the research conducted, there are two things related to this research. First, a description of underage marriage in Sukadiri sub-district and its causes. As a result, there were 8 underage marriages with parental consent in Sukadiri subdistrict, 21 of women in 2019. Second, the extent to which the effectiveness of the KUA's role is related to its efforts to overcome and carry out underage marriages in Sukadiri district, to prevent underage marriages. age by falsifying administration and also marriage registration. As a result, the KUA of the Sukadiri sub-district, in this case the leader, has held a socialization regarding the importance of getting married according to the age specified by the law before the marriage contract (khutbah nikah) was married underage in the Sukadiri district. The conclusion is Law No. 1 year 1974 Jo. Law No. 16 of 2019 and Islamic Law that underage marriage can be carried out as long as it is in accordance with the applicable terms and procedures.
