Information Technology has changed the humans interaction globally. In the financial services sector, financial technology offer a solutions in providing fast, easy and safe services with the form of peer to peer lending (P2P Lending). The public's euphoria in reaction to the development of the P2P Lending business leaves an issue, especially in legal protection for consumers. The number of consumer complaints to the stakeholder indicates the low number of compliance in conducting the business based on regulations. The thesis uses a normative juridical methodology with factual approach and statutory regulations as a primary source of law, refers to literature, books and journal related to legal aspecr as secondary sources of law. With bases of primary foundation as Legal Protection Theory, Contract Theory, Legal Certainty Theory, Electronic Transaction Theory, all resources analyzed descriptively and analytically to obtain a conclusion. From the analysis, it can be concluded that legal protection for the parties is the key to the success of P2P Lending Services. Consumers are encouraged to increase literacy in P2P Lending before initiated to use its services. Consumers able to submit any issues regarding P2P Lending to alternative institutions for consumer dispute resolution or to the judiciary.
