<note>The aim of this research was to investigate whether there was a significant effect of 
applying Discovery Learning assisted by Interactive Media on the enhancement o f 
students’  writing ability  at the eleventh-grade of  SMK Patriot Nusantara Jakarta 
Barat in academic year 2022/2023. The researcher used the Quantitative method by 
using  Quasi-Experimental  design  with  a  nonequivalent  pretest-posttest  control 
group design as a method of this research. There were 82 students divided into 41 
students in the experimental class and 41 students in the control class as the samples 
of this research. The researcher conducted pre-test, post-test, and observation sheet 
of the learning process. Data analysis used Independent -Samples T-Test which can 
be seen that the Sig (2-tailed) was 0.003 which <0.05, it means Ha is accepted and 
Ho  is  rejected.  In  addition,  the  result  shown  that  the  mean  of  scores  in  the 
experimental class was 87.83 while  in the control class was 82.07. It means the 
experimental class got higher score than the control class. It can be concluded that 
there  is  more  significant  effect  of  applying  Discovery  Learning  assisted  by 
Interactive Media compared to applying Conventional method.</note>
