Writing is an important skill. Through writing, the students can express their thought, ideas, and feelings in written form. The aim of the research is to know the students mastery in adjective order and ability in writing descriptive text. The sample of the research was 10 students of X MM 1 grade of SMK Teknologi Pilar Bangsa Sepatan School in academic year 2020/2021. In collecting the data, the writer used the observation, interview, and written test. The results of data analysis showed that students' mastery in the order of adjectives was still low or at the basic level. They can only place the order of adjectives correctly if in a sentence they encounter only two or three adjectives. Their mastery of the order of placement of adjectives also affects their ability to write descriptive text. The results of descriptive texts show that students are only able to write descriptive sentences with two or three adjectives the same as shown by the results of the jumbled word test analysis.
