<note>The research was aimed to find out whether there is significant effect of
students reading comprehension after being taught by using Extensive Reading at
tenth grade of SMK Islam Tiara Aksara Kota Tangerang in academic year
2019/2020. The population of the research was the Tenth Grade of SMK Islam
Tiara Aksara. the research method was an experimental research, which
conducted in two class : the Experimental Class (X AK) and Control Class (X
MP). The X AK was taught by Extensive Reading, while the X MP was taught by
Conventional Instruction. The formula that was used to analyze the data was ttest. The data was gained by pre-test and post-test, it was found that the mean of
pre-test in experimental class was 61.44 and control class was 60.36. Meanwhile,
the mean of post-test in experimental class was 84.40 and control class was 75.32.
it was obtained that Ho is accepted and there was a significant different from
teaching using Extensive Reading in Reading Comprehension at the Tenth Grade
of SMK Islam Tiara Aksara Kota Tangerang in Academic Year 2019/2020.</note>
