The impact of problem based learning on speaking skill at the tenth grade students of SMAN 3 Kabupaten Tangerang in academic year 2019/2020
This research was conducted at SMAN 3 Kabupaten Tangerang. The aim of this research is to
find out there is whether an Impact of Problem-Based Learning on speaking skill. The
population of this research was the tenth-grade students of SMAN 3 Kabupaten Tangerang.
The sample are 84 students of 10 IPS 5 and 10 IPS 2. This research used Quasi-Experimental.
The research data is collected through pre-test and post-test. The result of this research was
statistical calculation by One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, it is known the asymptotic
significances of the pre-test and post-test in experimental class data is 0.000 < 0.05. It can be
concluded that Hₐ is accepted and Hₒ is rejected. It means there is a significant difference
using problem-based learning on speaking skill. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is
positive impact of Problem Based Learning on speaking skill at the tenth grade of SMAN 3
Kabupaten Tangerang in academic year 2019/2020.
