The effect of using think pair share (tps) on the students’ reading comprehension at eleventh grade of SMAN 2 Kabupaten Tangerang in academic year 2018/2019
This research is conducted so that whether there is a the effectiveness of using Think
Pair Share on students’ reading comprehension. The research will conducted in
SMAN 2 Kabupaten Tangerang. The researcher will choose two class in eleventh
grade as the samples of the research. The researcher used quasi experimental and
choose two classes, the first class had been choosen as an experimental group which
would be given Think Pair Share technique treatment while the second class would
be choosen as a control group which would be given conventional or non Think Pair
Share technique treatment. The calculation of hypothesis test was used mannwhitney test because the data is not normally distributed. The result of the
significance value of the data is smaller than 0.05 with significance value
0.016>0.05, it means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. It can be said that there is a
significant difference between experimental class and control class.
