The effect of mind mapping technique towards student’ speaking ability at the tenth grade of SMAN 20 Kota Tangerang in academic year 2020/2021
This research was conducted at SMAN 20 Kabupaten Tangerang. The aim of this
research was to know whether there is a significant effect of mind mapping
technique on the students’ speaking ability. The population of this research was the
tenth-grade students’ of SMAN 20 Kabupaten Tangerang. The samples are 30
students of 10 Mipa 5. This research used Quasi-Experimental. The research data
is collected through pre-test and post-test. The result of this research was statistical
calculation by One-Sample Shapiro-wilk test, it is known the asymptotic
significances of the pre-test and post-test in experimental class data is 0.000 < 0.05.
It can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. It means there is a
significant difference using mind mapping technique on speaking ability. Hence, it
can be concluded that there is a positive impact of mind mapping technique on
speaking ability at the tenth grade of SMAN 20 Kabupaten tangerang in academic
year 2020/2021.
