The effect of roleplay on improving students' speaking skills at eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 2 Kabupaten Tangerang academic year 2022/2023
This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Tangerang Regency. The purpose
of this study was to find the effect of roleplay on improving students' speaking
skills. The population in this study was 72 students from grades 11 MIPA 1 and
11 MIPA 2. This research uses quantitative approach and quasi-experimental
method. This research data was collected through observation in schools and
using assessments or tests. The results of this study are statistical data which are
then analyzed using SPSS 22 using the Wilcoxon model and based on the value
obtained assym.sig (2-tailed) is greater than the Wilcoxon test criteria, it can be
concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So it can be concluded that there
is a significant influence from the use of roleplay as a method in improving
students' communication skills.
