The effect of reflective learning portfolio technique in imporving students' writing ability on argumentative text with different self-esteem at SMAN 13 Kabupaten Tangerang in academic year 2022/2023
Identifying appropriate writing techniques to help students with different self-esteem
improve their writing skills is a concern for educators. This study tries to test the effect
of the Reflective Learning Portfolio (RLP) technique in improving students' writing
ability with different self-esteem. Quasi-experimental design was used in this study.
The study participants totaled 76 students from SMAN 13 Kabupaten Tangerang which
were divided into two groups, namely, the experimental class consisted of 38 students
and the control class consisted of 38 students. A set of questions to measure student
self-esteem and a written test were used to collect data. Questionnaire results data were
analyzed using a Likert scale. The results of the pre-test and post-test to determine the
effect of RLP were carried out using a independent T-test and ANOVA test. The results
showed that in the experimental class was much better than the control class.
