“Re-testing the bct (Bias In Cloze) and the hytec-Cloze (The Hybrid Text Comprehension) for assessment students reading comprehension At The Second Semester Class A Of English Departement Faculty Of Teacher Training And Education Of Islamic University Of Syekh Yusuf In Academic Year 2020/2021”
This research purpose to the effectiveness from new various forms from cloze test:
The Hybrid Text Comprehension cloze (HyTeC-cloze) and The BCT (Bias in Cloze).
This research was quantitative with comparative design, the writer used sample from
2nd semester class A in Islamic University of Syekh Yusuf there are 27 samples. The
researcher used the written test to collect the data, and counting the data the writer
used Wilcoxon because the data are not normal. The result of this research showed
the students‟ score of reading comprehension after tested by The Hybrid Text
Comprehension cloze (HyTeC-cloze) there‟s no significant effect and The BCT (Bias
in Cloze) there‟s no significant effect, but The BCT (Bias in Cloze) and The Hytec-
Cloze can be options to testing students reading comprehension. The gained results of
the research indicated that The Hybrid Text Comprehension cloze (HyTeC-cloze) and
The BCT (Bias in Cloze) aren‟t effective to measure reading comprehension on 2nd
semester class A faulty of English Department Faculty of Teacher Training and
Education of in Islamic University of Syekh Yusuf in academic year 2020/2021.
