Improving the students speaking skill throuh interaction activity by telephone using role play at eleventh grade of SMAN 14 Kota Tangerang in academic year 2019/2020
This experimental study aims to investigate the effect of interaction
activity by telephone in improving the students speaking skills. This experiment
was implemented to the senior high school students’ with a two classes, with two
hours per week, over 3 meetings. Sixty students’ participated in this study, with
30 students’ in the experimental class and 30 students’ in the control class. The
writer employed a pretest and posttest in reading skill with quasi-experimental
design in. The data were analyzed by means, standard deviations. Statistical result
revealed that the experimental class did much better than the control class and
consequently there is a significant effect of interaction activity by telephone in
improving the students speaking skills in SMAN 14 Kota Tangerang
